While the guys are not the first artists to open up their own establishment in Music City (and certainly won’t be the last) they are doing things a little differently by venturing outside of the town’s famed Broadway Strip. Miranda Lambert, Dierks Bentley, Alan Jackson, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kid Rock and Blake Shelton are just a few of the big names you’ll find on Broadway which is regularly packed with Nashville tourists eager to get a taste of the Honky Tonk lifestyle. However, Old Dominion is going for more of a local feel by setting up shop in Nashville’s Midtown neighborhood.
"Midtown in Nashville has played such a role in the history of our band, from chilling at the bar after writing, to playing weekly into the wee hours of the morning,” lead singer, Matt Ramsey shared. “It’s an important neighborhood for not only upcoming artists and writers, but for local people or tourists who want a good place they know they can go and have a good time. Odie’s will be that neighborhood bar for us all."
The bar is being built as we speak, with a projected grand opening in Summer 2024.
Odie’s isn’t the only new artist-themed bar fans can expect in Nashville this year. Luke Combs and Eric Church are also close to opening their own establishments while Country legend, Garth Brooks, just opened the doors of his very own honky tonk, Friends In Low Places, during the holiday season.
What star do you think is next to have their own bar?
