Following their seventh consecutive win for CMA Group of the Year back in November, Brad Tursi, Matthew Ramsey, Trevor Rosen, Geoff Sprung and Whit Sellers decided to celebrate by giving back — and that’s exactly what they did.
The group performed seven consecutive shows at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium across four days (February 3-6) raising money for seven different charities; MusiCares, Save the Music, Backline Care, Opry Trust Fund, CMA Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Ramsey’s own Ramsey Foundation which he founded with his wife, Sara.
The shows raised a whopping cumulative total of $1.2 million. The guys took to social media to share their excitement following the mini residency, which granted the guys the record for most consecutive shows in Ryman's history. "We have so many people to thank! But, even better is we have so many people to celebrate and share this with,” they shared in a joint statement. “We knew it would be a blast, and we hoped we’d help our favorite charities."
The guys definitely made the most of it as they welcomed some pals to the stage during various shows. Guests included Bear Rinehart from NEEDTOBREATHE, Steven Wilson Jr., Phil Vassar, ERNEST and The War & Treaty.
Sharing it was "more than we could’ve ever expected,” Ramsey concluded the final show by sharing, "At a time when charitable organizations are doing more with less, we all felt it was really important to support organizations that we know take care of people who need it."
