Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) - Less than one month after it served its last order of pancakes, a vacant former Bob Evans restaurant has been sold.
Investors WGI Amherst Property Management paid $2 million for 6,100-square-foot building at 1925 Niagara Falls Boulevard, buying it from fellow investors NNN REIT L.P.
Bob Evans abruptly closed on May 13.
The sale may be a prelude to the building being activated soon.
Sources say another national restaurant chain is eying the site, with a decision due in the next few weeks.
Bob Evans still has a local restaurant on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Niagara Falls.
