New Highmark Stadium continues to be 'comfortably on schedule'
An exclusive look at construction progress of the new stadium along Abbott Road just ahead of kickoff for the 2024 Bills season
Orchard Park, N.Y. (WBEN) - Construction of the new Highmark Stadium along Abbott Road in Orchard Park continues to progress with the steel structure continuing to tower higher-and-higher with each given day.
Crews are now 15 months into the construction of the new state-of-the-art football stadium, which is slated to open ahead of the 2026 NFL season. At that point, the Buffalo Bills will move in to the new facility, while demolition of the old stadium across the street will then commence.
As fans get ready to head down to the current Highmark Stadium ahead of the 2024 football season, the progress of the new stadium may surprise many, especially if they have not seen the construction site since the end of last season.
