NEW YORK (WBEN) — Law enforcement officials are reportedly issuing subpoenas in relation to the allegation that disgraced former Gov. Andrew groped a state worker inside the Executive Mansion last November.
The Times Union reports subpoenas are being used to gather records into the ongoing investigation into the accusation that Cuomo groped the breast of Brittany Commisso, one of the 11 women who accused the governor of sexual misconduct in Attorney General Letitia James’ damning report against the ex-governor.
Commisso met with Albany County sheriff's investigators for a second time on Monday for an interview, sources told the outlet.
"I believe that my story appears first due to the nature of the inappropriate conduct that the governor did to me," Commisso said earlier this summer when she revealed her identity in an interview with CBS and the Times Union. "I believe that he groped me, he touched me, not only once, but twice."
The subpoenas are reportedly being used to collect evidence related to the details Commisso’s claim that the grope allegedly occured on the day she helped Cuomo send a text message to assistant Stephanie Benton.
Cuomo has denied the allegations against him and spent his final days in office attempting to paint James’ investigation as an unfair attack against him.
