WFAN's MLB Insider Jon Heyman reports that the New York Yankees and veteran Chris Iannetta have agreed to a minor-league deal.
Iannetta, who turns 37 in April, played 14 seasons with five teams including the Colorado Rockies (2006-11) and Los Angeles Angels (2012-15).

— Jon Heyman (@JonHeyman) January 9, 2020Along with catcher Erik Kratz, he'll provide veteran depth/ competition for Kyle Higashioka as a backup to Gary Sanchez.
In his major league career, Iannetta hit .230 with 141 home runs and 502 runs batted in.
He was also the starting catcher for Team USA in the 2009 World Baseball Classic, along with Atlanta Braves catcher Brian McCann.
