NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- A local stand-up comedian served a full Thanksgiving dinner to riders of the L train on Sunday night.
Jodell “Joe Show” Lewis posted videos on Instagram of a full table of food on the Canarsie-bound train. After a prayer and a toast over the cloth-covered table, plates of food are passed around to passengers.
"We are so thankful we decided to feed the whole train #thanksgivingonthetrain," Lewis wrote on his Instagram post.
Lewis told the New York Post that he planned the meal for months, and that he chose the L train after "seeing how dreary and upset riders were at the inconvenience the new construction provided."
