NEW YORK (WCBS 880) — The NYPD has arrested a man in connection with the assault of a 92-year-old woman in broad daylight last week in Manhattan.
The woman was walking with a push cart on Third Avenue between 15th and 16th streets on Friday afternoon when the suspect hit her in the head as he passed her on the sidewalk.
The woman fell to ground and struck her head on a fire hydrant.
Video shows the suspect look back at the victim laying on the ground as he continues walking without stopping.
The victim was taken to Mount Sinair Beth Israel Hospital for treatment.
The NYPD on Tuesday afternoon announced the arrest of 31-year-old Rashid Brimmage of the Bronx in the case. He has been charged with assault.
