NEW YORK (WCBS 880) -- Uber is taking to the air with helicopter flights between the city and John F. Kennedy Airport.
Uber Copter will provide helicopter taxis to and from Lower Manhattan starting on Monday.
The eight-minute flight will cost betwen $200 and $225 per person. It includes ground transportation on either side of the trip.
Flights can be reserved in the Uber app up to five days in advance.
Passengers can bring a small suitcase and must watch a safety video before takeoff.
The Uber Copter flights are operated by HeliFlite Shares, a New Jersey-based charter company.
The service had been available since June, but only to premium Uber members.
