
NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. (1010 WINS) — Niagara Falls will honor the late comedian and actress Betty White's 100th birthday on Monday by illuminating its famous waterfalls in white, the mayor of Niagara Falls, Canada, tweeted.

"The Falls will be illuminated in white from 7:30-7:45 PM in memory of @BettyMWhite on Monday, January 17th - which would have been her 100th birthday. RIP to one of our #GoldenGirls...sending love from @NiagaraFalls," said Niagra Falls Mayor Jim Diodati on Sunday morning in a tweet.
"The Golden Girls" and "Hot in Cleveland" star, who died on New Year's Eve at age 99, will also be honored with the one-night-only movie special "Betty White: 100 Years Young," due out in select theaters on Monday.
Nine cinemas in New York City will air the special film that will feature several stars, including Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Lin-Manuel-Miranda, Jay Leno, Carol Burnett and more.
