Armed man steals MTA worker's ID badge after dispute at UWS subway station: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An armed man flashed a gun then stole an MTA employee’s work ID badge following a dispute at an Upper West Side subway station early Friday, according to police.

At around 5:40 a.m. the suspect was involved in an argument with the male employee while on the platform of the 103rd Street and Central Park West station on the B and C lines when he brandished a gun and grabbed his ID card, officials said.

The suspect then fled the scene onto the street in an unknown direction.

Authorities said the suspect appeared to be in his 20s.

There were no injuries reported in the incident and an investigation remains ongoing.
