NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot outside of a Brooklyn deli on Wednesday, according to police.
The teenager was exiting YaYa Deli Gourmet at the corner of Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Place in Brownsville around 4:53 p.m. when someone crossed the street and approached him, according to officials.
The shooter reportedly hit the boy in the torso.
EMS rushed him to Interfaith Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police have not yet made any arrests, and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
