NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A Bronx motorcyclist fatally struck a 72-year-old woman before his bike kept going without a driver, jumped a curb and struck a teen girl, police said Thursday.
The 46-year-old biker was riding his 2006 Yamaha R1 westbound on Pelham Parkway in Allerton around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when he struck the 72-year-old as she walked in a crosswalk at Williamsbridge Road.
Both the woman and the motorcyclist were knocked to the roadway, but the motorcycle remained upright and continued traveling westbound on Pelham Parkway.

The driverless bike jumped a curb and struck a 17-year-old girl who was standing on a sidewalk nearby. The out-of-control vehicle then came to a rest near a bus stop.
EMS transported all three of them to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi, where the 72-year-old was pronounced dead.
She was identified as Shirley Smith, of East Harlem.
The motorcyclist and teen were listed in stable condition.
The NYPD is investigating the crash. No arrests have been reported as of Thursday.
