
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police on Monday released surveillance footage of a suspect sought for slashing a man in the neck in a random attack aboard a Brooklyn subway train last week, authorities said.
At about 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 14, a 22-year-old man was on board a southbound L train approaching the Livonia Avenue subway station in East New York when he was approached by the suspect.
According to officials, the suspect then slashed the victim on the neck with a box cutter and fled off the train at the Livonia Avenue subway station to parts unknown.
EMS treated the victim for a laceration to the neck.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black du-rag, purple hooded sweatshirt with white letters, and a dark colored backpack.
