NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man who threw a chair at a 66-year-old man who was sitting outside a restaurant in Midtown East and subsequently stole his phone.

The attack took place outside a restaurant on West 58th Street near First Avenue on Sept. 9 around 10:30 p.m., according to authorities.
Security camera footage of the incident shows a stranger picked up a chair and threw it at the victim unprovoked.
The victim dropped his cellphone when he was hit by the chair, and the suspect picked it up before fleeing.
The man went to Mount Sinai West by his own means, where he was treated for a broken arm.
