NYPD employee arrested after punching, choking woman during dispute at home: police

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – An NYPD employee was arrested on Monday in his Brooklyn residence after assaulting a woman, police said.

Stephen Osborn, 28, an NYPD custodian, allegedly punched and choked a woman at his home near East 23rd Street and Newkirk Avenue in Flatbush during a domestic dispute, police told Patch.

The woman was romantically involved with Osborn, police said.

The victim sustained minor injuries from the assault.

Osborn was arrested around 1:20 a.m., police said.

He now faces several charges including criminal obstruction of breathing, assault, menacing, and harassment.

Police have not yet released further details on the incidents.
