NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 38-year-old Queens man was arraigned Monday on child sex trafficking and rape charges for allegedly abducting a 14-year-old girl and forcing her to have sex for money, according to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.
Troy Siddons met the victim at a party in January 2022 and exchanged numbers with her, prosecutors claim.
He allegedly paid her for sex at the Van Wyck Hotel. When they met again at a Best Western Inn to have sex again, he abducted her and forced her to have sex with others for money, according to Katz.
Siddons would arrange customers and collect cash on the victim’s behalf, the criminal complaint states.
He allegedly refused to let the victim leave and refused to provide medical care when she complained of pain from the encounters.
Police rescued the victim from a Brooklyn home where she was being held by her alleged captors.
“I have put significant resources in to finding and helping those who are being forced into sex work,” said Katz. “Those who will prey upon the vulnerable should know that in Queens, we will not relent in this responsibility.”
Siddons faces charges for child sex trafficking, sex trafficking, compelling prostitution, promoting prostitution and rape.
He was also indicted on separate weapons possession charges.
If convicted, he faces up to 40 years in prison.
