NEW YORK (WCBS 880)-- Police are searching for a man who they believe robbed seven small businesses in Brooklyn over three weeks, netting him more than $8,000 in cash, lotto tickets and cigarettes.

The NYPD released video of a suspect Tuesday as they continue to investigate.
The burglaries took place between May 19 and June 9 in the neighborhoods of Bath Beach, Homecrest, Gravesend and Bensonhurst.
The man cut security gates and smashed a glass door to gain entry to some of the establishments.

The suspect stole over $6,000 in cash, $1,500 in lottery tickets and $800 in cigarettes, police said.
All of the break-ins took place between 2 a.m. and 6:30 a.m., when the businesses were closed.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
