NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The thousands of spectators expected to attend the 96th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday will be treated to plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures, according to AccuWeather.
New York City will remain sunny through Wednesday afternoon, with nice and mild weather that will aid holiday travel and preparations. The high will be 56.
Then a calm evening will be followed by a clear and chilly overnight. Lows will drop to about 40 in the city but plunge to the 30s in the suburbs.
On Thanksgiving, sunshine will give way to some clouds. Temperatures will rise into the 40s during the Thanksgiving Day parade at 9 a.m. before climbing to a high of 54 in the afternoon.
Shoppers should make sure to bring an umbrella before they go out for Black Friday shopping. While it will be mild with plenty of clouds, expect some showers through the day and into the evening. High of 53.
Looking ahead to the holiday weekend, Saturday will be nice and mild with some sun. The high again will be 53.
Sunday will be cloudy with periods of rain, but highs will rise to 56.
