The Islanders will no longer play on Saturday afternoon, as the team announced Friday evening that its home contest with the Kraken has been postponed due to inclement weather heading towards Long Island.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared a state of emergency due to heavy snow expected in the area, forcing the Islanders to reschedule Saturday’s game to Wednesday at 7 p.m. Tickets and prepaid parking will be valid for Wednesday.

New York thought postponements were behind it after enduring several during the surge of the omicron variant of COVID-19 back in December, but now, another scheduling shuffle is necessary.
