Boomer delivered some intriguing news during Thursday’s show, telling Gio that Jets GM Joe Douglas talked with free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. on Wednesday.

“I do believe Joe Douglas and Odell Beckham Jr. had a conversation yesterday, too,” Boomer said. “Things are changing over there. The Jets are trying to bring in some stars. They’re reconfiguring their wide receiver core.”

So, does Boomer think Gang Green will actually add the former Giants star, who Aaron Rodgers reportedly wants to play alongside? Boomer says it will come down to the financials, but believes that the Jets are for real in their interest.

“I think it really depends on what Odell is looking for in terms of money,” Boomer said. “I understand he sees all the money other guys have gotten, but he’s really derailed his career in many different ways, and has been his own worst enemy in some cases. But the knee injury is a significant thing, but watching his workout the other day, he looked fantastic. He looked great.

“I think it’s really serious. I don’t think the GM calls the guy and talks to him if he’s not really serious.”
