With sports taking a break to help stop the spread of coronavirus, WCCO and the Minnesota Twins have come together to bring some classic games to both the radio, and the RADIO.COM app.
Each Saturday until the current games are played, you can listen to games starting at 12:00pm.
On Saturday, March 28th, we'll air the 1965 All-Star Game which took place at Met Stadium in Bloomington. That game featured several Twins, including starters Earl Battey and Harmon Killebrew. The American League and National League teams starred what would become 19 Hall of Fame players, including Willie Mays, Mickey Mantle, Sandy Koufax, Bob Gibson and Hank Aaron, among many others.
In the coming weeks, other classic Twins games will air, including games from the 1987 and 1991 World Series, game "163" from 2009, and more.
In addition to listening to the games on 830 WCCO, you can hear it on 102.9 HD2 (note: need a HD Radio), and streamed on the RADIO.COM app, either on your mobile device or desktop computer.
