How does COVID-19 rank among other U.S. causes of death

The coronavirus pandemic has claimed many lives, but now an interactive chart shows how it has lined up against other causes of death in the United States. 

Dr. Robert Martin put the data together showing that COVID-19 has now become near the top of the cause of death chart in the United States. COVID-19 has seen a significant jump in deaths since March 21st, from 301 deaths to 12,841 on April 7th.
