Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is speaking out against Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is President-Elect Donald Trump’s pick for Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Ellison shared his thoughts on Kennedy’s policies on Monday, saying they would ultimately harm the health of Minnesotans.
“He is a dangerous choice to take the reins of our nation’s health care system,” Ellison said of Kennedy. “No doubt about it. If the Senate confirms him to this position, it would greatly harm the health of Minnesota residents and put lives at risk.”
Ellison also claims that the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, and Medicaid will be in jeopardy if RFK Jr. is confirmed to the post.
While Kennedy has shared thoughts on numerous topics, like what we put in our food, Ellison says that there is still a danger in his other potential proposals.
“He has said things about food additives,” Ellison said. “He has said a few other things that people might think, okay, that’s an idea worth exploring. But make no mistake, folks, he’s trying to mix in things that people might like with a whole lot of really dangerous things, which means it’s hard to determine what’s a bad idea and what’s not a bad idea.”
