Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR 550) - The Buffalo Bills have announced the release of four players from the roster on Sunday following the team's 27-24 comeback victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday.
The four players released by the Bills includes offensive linemen Derek Kerstetter and Jordan Simmons, cornerback Olajiah Griffin and tight end Jalen Wydermyer.
Sunday's roster moves come as a result of the NFL's mandated cut dates, which requires all 32 teams to cut their rosters down to 85 players by Tuesday, Aug. 16.
All four players took part in Saturday's matchup with the Colts, which saw only Griffin recording a single tackle in 37 downs played. Kerstetter and Simmons played 27 and 36 downs, respectively, while Wydermyer only played six downs.
The next round of cuts will take place on Aug. 23, which will require teams to cut the roster down from 85 to 80 players. The final round of cuts to get the roster down to the final 53-man roster comes this year on Aug. 30.
The Bills return to action on Saturday, Aug. 20 against the Denver Broncos at Highmark Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
