(BetMGM/WGR Sports Radio 550) - Leo Chenal’s blocked field goal in Week 10 kept the Kansas City Chiefs undefeated, but it wasn’t enough to cover the spread as their ATS (against the spread) struggles continued.
In failing to cover as a 7.5-point favorite against the Denver Broncos, the Chiefs lost their third-straight game against the spread, and dropped their ATS winning percentage to .404 in Weeks 8-18 since 2018. Only the New York Jets have been worse after Week 7 the last seven seasons:
- New York Jets: .383
- Kansas City Chiefs: .404
- Chicago Bears: .410
- Atlanta Falcons: .433
- Carolina Panthers: .435
The Chiefs' Week 11 opponent, the Buffalo Bills, have the eighth-best winning percentage (.544) in those games. The Bills have the lone ATS win in the series for Weeks 8-18, covering as a 1.5-point underdog in a 20-17 win last December.
In the 60 games over that time, the Chiefs have been favored 54 times. Barring dramatic line movement, that won’t be the case on Sunday against the Bills. As of Tuesday, the Bills are a 2.5-point home favorite.
