The Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs BFF (best friends forever) tour has made it all the way to the cover of Sports Illustrated.
The superstar tandem are on the cover of SI Kids’ “BFF issue,” posing earnestly with each other. They’re also featured in a full-page photo shoot.
Allen and Diggs connected instantly on the field last year, both producing career seasons. Allen finished second in MVP voting and became the first player in NFL history to throw for 4,000-plus yards, 30-plus touchdowns and run for eight or more touchdowns in a single season. Diggs became the first Buffalo Bills wide receiver to ever lead the NFL in receptions (127) and receiving yards (1,535).
Way back in April 2020, Allen correctly predicted Diggs would become his best friend. While Allen was speaking about Diggs’ receiving ability, his prediction wound up being clairvoyant.
The two clearly share a bond, and their chemistry is unmatched.
“Please consider [Allen] as your MVP, because he is mine,” Diggs said last February.
If Allen is going to live up to his $258 million contract, he and Diggs must continue to excel. They connected nine times for 69 yards this past Sunday in a 23-16 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Highmark Stadium.
Though Diggs’ on-field production was down, he demonstrated how he’s turned into a leader off of it. The team captain proceeded to high-five every teammate in sight as the game became out of reach, as if to say it’s OK.
As long as Allen and Diggs are together, things should be just fine.
