Orchard Park, NY (WGR550) - it sounded like encouraging news on the status of Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano.

During his weekly meeting with the Buffalo media ahead of Tuesday’s practice, head coach Sean McDermott said there was a chance Milano could return to practice on Wednesday.

The Bills host the Miami Dolphins Thursday night. Milano missed Monday's and Tuesday’s practices with a pectoral injury.

McDermott did not commit to the nine-year veteran returning on Wednesday, and also didn’t completely rule out a longer term injury, but said, "We'll see. Hopefully we'll get him back as we head into tomorrow here," adding he could "potentially" practice on Wednesday.

Defensive tackle Ed Oliver once again joined Milano as the only players who did not participate on Tuesday, with no change in status to the Monday injury report.

Defensive backs Taron Johnson and Cam Lewis were both limited participants. Lewis was the only player on the field in a red non-contract jersey, while Johnson and linebacker Shaq Thompson both wore regular white defensive jerseys.

Defensive back Jordan Hancock was once again a full participant. Hancock was not active during Sunday’s 30-10 win over the New York Jets and could make his NFL debut on Thursday night.
