Adam Faison from Freeform's "Everything's Gonna Be Okay" stopped by Drop The Subject to discuss his new show and how he connects with it on a personal level.
"Everything's Gonna Be Okay" follows Nicholas, played by Josh Thomas, a gay antipodean entomologist, and his two half-sisters, one whom is on the autism spectrum, as they cope with the loss of his father who passes away of cancer. Adam plays Alex, a 20 something year old dental student who begins dating Nicholas in the start of the series and becomes a part of the family.
Faison said that he has gotten feedback from people all around the world talking about how the show is so relatable. Faison also connects with the show not only as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, but because he shared with us that the day of his first table reading was also the same day he found out his mom had ovarian cancer.
