How Dangerous is The Coronavirus?

Our On-air health expert, Nurse Practitioner James Simmons is in-studio to calm our nerves! 

With 106 deaths reported and over 4,000 confirmed cases, the coronavirus has spread to at least 11 other countries and regions. Five of the cases being here in the U. S.

This is what we know so far about the coronavirus.

  • It is a large family of viruses, which include severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) and the Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS).
  • Common symptoms include a runny nose, cough, sore throat, and possibly a headache.
