Let's Go There: Is The Women's March Actually for All Women

Thousands of demonstrators showed up in cities across the US to rally for the third year of women's marches on Saturday January 19, 2019. Leading up to this year's event, the leaders of Women's March Inc. Tamika Mallory and Bob Bland, were plagued by allegations of bigotry. The accusations, however, didn't stop many demonstrators from attending.

Meanwhile, a smaller group of women gathered in Washington Saturday for a counter protest called the March For ALL Women. The protest was organized by the Independent Women's Forum, a politically conservative organization. Inez Stepman, Senior Policy Analyst of IWF joins Lets Go There to discuss the counter movement and what they are doing to bring together women who might not agree with the politics of the main Women's March. Stepman also responds to the question around inclusivity of the LGBTQ community and/or trans women in a movement that is led by a right leaning organization.
