
Jon Taffer from Paramount's "Bar Rescue" joins us to discuss how to help the bar industry and the possible bleak future for the hospitality industry.
Taffer says that unless bars are selling food they are not allowed to sell alcohol, but smart bars will sell some kind of food that way they can still sell their coctails.
He says that a smart and creative idea is to sell "make it at home to go packages" where a bar gives you the ingredients to make the coctail you want, but you can make it yourself fresh at home.
His advice for bars: "We can't raise revenue, but we can raise brand equity." He says to post on social media why your bars are important and to keep advertising your business on media platforms.
