Palm Springs Mayor, Geoff Kors came on the show to talk about what is going on with the Coachella Valley during the coronavirus outbreak.
He said 2 weeks ago it felt like big events needed to be cancelled and he was working very closely with the Department of Public Health. They focused on each event separately until the government made the annoucement to cancel all events with large groups of people.
He says that small businesses who relied on the Coachella festival have a big loss and it's leaving tens of thousands of people who usually work multiple jobs during the height of the season to figure out how they're going to pay their rent and feed their families.
He is hoping that the state and federal government have funds to help the people of Palm Springs.
