Outsports.com reported that former Minnesota Vikings punter Chris Kluwe has been fired from his freshman football coaching job at Edison High School, following his protest at a Huntington Beach City Council meeting.
Kluwe, went viral for his civil disobedience against a "MAGA" plaque approved for the local library.
At the meeting he was handcuffed by police after criticizing the plaque and drawing applause from the crowd. Now a week later, he finds he is without a job. It wasn't hard for him to make a connection between the two events. Kluwe, has a history of standing up for LGBTQ rights, said the incident shows the destructive impact of the MAGA movement on communities.
