High school is hard enough for most folks but it is even more challenging when you’re part of the LGBTQ+ in a town where it isn’t necessarily as accepted, but one high school student in Illinois is looking to change that. Jake Streder joins Let's Go There to share more about being outed and what he did in his hometown of Aurora, Illinois to create more visibility and acceptance for the LBGTQ+ community. That included selling 1 dollar Pride flags with the profit going to LGBTQ+ organizations, as well as building as rainbow colored reimagined closet display where the community takes pictures.
