If she wins in November, Kamala Harris will not only make history as both the first woman and first woman of color to be elected President of the United States, she’ll also be the most pro-LGBTQ+ president in history!

As Attorney General of California she played a key role in restoring marriage equality in the State and led efforts to abolish the gay and trans “panic” defense in criminal trials. As a senator, she introduced a bill to mandate insurance coverage for PreP, and stumped Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh with a question about marriage equality during his confirmation hearings. As Vice President she has loudly  spoken out against the flood of anti-queer legislation plaguing our community, telling the Advocate in a 2023 interview “I hate bullies.” Don’t we all… Don’t. We. All.
