President Joe Biden declares June Pride Month

The proclamation discusses how the LGBTQ+ movement "has grown stronger, more vibrant, and more inclusive with every passing year" rather than concentrating on the rising number of attacks on LGBTQ+ people this year.

“Pride is a celebration of generations of LGBTQI+ people, who have fought bravely to live openly and authentically,” the proclamation states. “And it is a reminder that we still have generational work to do to ensure that everyone enjoys the full promise of equity, dignity, protection, and freedom.”

Since 2021, every June has been designated as Pride Month by Biden.
