Why More People Came Out As Queer During the Pandemic

A new Gallup poll found that 5.6 percent of Americans identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or queer. It’s a sign of the times but the pandemic also offered an opportunity for many to come out as queer. Why was that? Dr. Cary Gabriel Costello, a sociology professor and the director of LGBTQ+ Studies at UW-Milwaukee, joins Let's Go There for the conversation.
