TEN on stepping into the solo spotlight and his first headlining tour in the United States

The “OUTWEST” singer sits down with Bru in Los Angeles

TEN talks with Bru

Between stops on his first-ever solo tour in the United States, TEN stopped by our Los Angeles studios to talk with Bru about his transition from groups like NCT, WayV, and SuperM, to now taking creative control as a solo artist.

“I'm ready, but I wouldn't say I'm ready until the show starts,” TEN says of his tour. “There's always still like the little stuff, all the details that I need to figure out before the actual show. And then, I wouldn't say everything will be perfect, because imperfection is the thing that makes the show look great.”

TEN also dove into the heightened personal responsibility of solo touring, from maintaining vocal health and strict self-care routines, to stepping into creative leadership. “I decided to start up my company,” he says, “I want to bring all the vision that I had in me and make it my new journey.

“I want to create something by myself. I want to try. I want to risk doing something that I always had in my head and put it into reality. I'd rather try something new and take risks than regret it later on in life.”

“It’s very scary though,” he admits, “because no one next to you is like, ‘Oh this is right’ or ‘this is wrong.’ It's just like, let's go with the flow.”
