The Patriots had three players named to the Pro Bowl, and at least one of them will not be participating.
On Thursday, the Bills announced linebacker Tremaine Edmunds will be replacing Dont'a Hightower in the Pro Bowl, as the Patriots linebacker is out with an injury.
While Hightower is out, it seems like Stephon Gilmore will play. Thursday, it was announced Gilmore will be part of the Pro Bowl Skills Showdown, which will be held the Wednesday before the game. and will air Thursday, January 23 at 9:00 p.m. on ESPN.
Some of the skills challenges include, Thread the Needle, an offense vs. defense accuracy challenge, as well as the Gridiron Gauntlet, which showcases strength, speed and agility.
It's unclear whether or not Matthew Slater, the third Patriots played to be named to the team, will participate in the game.
