Requesting a trade cost Anthony Davis some spending money.

The NBA announced that the Pelicans superstar has been hit with a $50,000 fine for the public comments made by his agent Rich Paul requesting a trade from New Orleans.

Davis is set to hit unrestricted free agency in the summer of 2020. The Celtics, Lakers, and Knicks have all been linked to a potential deal for the big man. Boston, however, will be unable to swing a trade prior to the offseason due to Rose Rule complications involving Kyrie Irving.
