The Patriots drafted five players in the first three rounds of the NFL Draft, so the potential is there for some players to make big impacts on the team in 2020.
There's Kyle Dugger and Josh Uche in Round 2 and then Anfernee Jennings, Devin Asiasi and Dalton Keene in Round 3, but also some later-rounders, including kicker Justin Rohrwasser.
So, which Patriots rookie will make the biggest impact in 2020? The Off Day podcast guys -- Ryan Hannable and Andy Hart -- gave their thoughts.
Also, vote in the poll at the end of the post.
The Patriots proved a year ago with Chase Winovich that rookie pass rushers out of Michigan can come in and immediately contribute. Uche, drafted a round higher than his former Wolverines pass rush pal Winovich, should have even more chances to show his stuff with veteran linebackers Kyle Van Noy and Jamie Collins having moved on this offseason in free agency. New England is going to need some impact contributions on the edge and many believe that while Uche will take time to round out as an NFL defender, he arrives in Foxborough with game-ready pass rush ability. Coming from Don Brown’s scheme at Michigan that studies and steals from the Patriots defense should help Uche get acclimated to life in New England, as will having a former teammate to lean on in Winovich. It may come in a rotational, complementary role as a pass rusher, but Uche should be able to show his stuff early on in his career as a Patriot and make an impact in 2020.

Even though he's a fifth rounder and there are several other talented rookies, the easy answer is Rohrwasser. If everything goes according to plan, he will do enough over the summer to earn the kicking gig and then he would have the potential to impact each and every game. That is more than any other rookie can say because it does not seem like any of the players selected will be starters. Dugger, Uche, etc. all seem like role players, at least in Year 1. Replacing Stephen Gostkowski isn't the easiest position to be in, but according to those close to him, his laid back personality will allow for him to be up for the task. Similar to last year and rookie Jake Bailey making a big impact, expect a similar thing with Rohrwasser in 2020.
