The Celtics could start this series without Marcus Smart due to a mid-foot sprain. With Smart’s injured foot “pretty tender and sore right now,” Ime Udoka is listing the guard as questionable for Game 1.

However, Robert Williams is fully cleared to play Tuesday. He was available as needed in Game 7 against Milwaukee but did not play. Barring further injury, Time Lord will not have a minutes restriction in the Eastern Conference Finals.

On the other side of this matchup, Kyle Lowry’s availability is in question. Miami hasn’t submitted its injury report for Tuesday yet, but he missed four games last round, including the final two. He was also limited at practice on Monday.

Now, should you see other Heat players pop up on the injury report, don’t read too much into that. Not exactly sure why, but Erik Spoelstra has been listing a bevy of role players questionable night-to-night all season, yet almost none of them ever sit out, if any.
