If Cam Newton is deemed healthy enough to play Monday against Denver, it would seem like he would get the start for the Patriots.
But if he's not, it appears the Patriots are switching things up from a week ago.
According to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham is in line to make the start if Newton cannot play.
Brian Hoyer struggled as the starter last Monday against the Chiefs, and while Stidham wasn't much better, he does have more upside than the veteran.
As for Newton, if he continues to show no symptoms, he would be eligible to return to the team with two negative tests 24 hours apart.
The game was originally scheduled for Sunday, but moved to Monday night.
