With the Yankees having their weekend washed away in Detroit, Boomer & Gregg's collective focus was on the 12-2 Mets on Monday morning, after they topped the Brewers in dramatic fashion Sunday afternoon, thanks to Wilmer Flores -- who homered in the bottom of the ninth to send the fans home happy.
Noah Syndergaard was electric, and Brandon Nimmo certainly made the most of his opportunity. The Mets do have an issue at catcher, after Kevin Plawecki was diagnosed with a broken hand.
As far as the aforementioned Yanks, their biggest issue is in their bullpen, specifically Dellin Betances. The Bombers host Derek Jeter's Marlins on Monday night at Yankee Stadium -- weather permitting, of course -- and will have Luis Severino on the hill, as he looks to avenge his last outing in Boston.
