Following the statement released by the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center on Thursday, March 12, the New Jersey Devils, Prudential Center, WFAN and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation regret to inform you that the Sixth Annual "Boomer and Gio" Mikey Strong Charity Hockey Game presented by M&M's on March 27, 2020, is canceled. Those who purchased tickets will receive an email from Ticketmaster within the coming days regarding the event cancellation and refund information.
Fans who donate $25 or more before April 1, 2020, will receive an offer code valid for two (2) complimentary tickets to a select Yankees home game during the 2020 season and an offer code valid for two (2) complimentary tickets to a select Devils home game during the 2020-21 season.
The annual charity game aims help raise awareness for Nichols and his work to elevate the needs of the paralysis community. In January 2014, Nichols sustained a spinal cord injury during a high school hockey game. Proceeds from the game will go to the Nichols Family Trust to provide for Nichols' medical needs. Proceeds will also benefit the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, which is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury and improving the quality of life for individuals living with paralysis.
