FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (WFAN) -- The Jets are down another offensive lineman.
Coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday that right tackle Brandon Shell will miss the team's final two games with a "pretty bad" knee injury that will likely require surgery. Shell suffered the injury in the third quarter of Saturday's 29-22 loss to the Houston Texans when teammate Spencer Long fell on his left leg. Shell had to be carted off the field.

The news comes three weeks after guard James Carpenter was placed on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
Shell, a fifth-round draft pick by the Jets in 2016, had started all 14 games this season. He started 12 games last season and three as a rookie.
The 6-foot-5, 324-pound tackle has one year remaining on his rookie contract.
The Jets (4-10) play their final home game of the season Sunday against the Green Bay Packers.
