Dallas Keuchel is still out there on the free agent market, but likely not for much longer. Most expect the 2015 American League Cy Young winner to sign soon after June 2, when teams won't have to give up a draft pick as compensation.
Keuchel seems now willing to sign a prorated one-year deal worth around $18 million, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.
As reported during the winter: Initial ask to teams for Dallas Keuchel was 6 or 7 years, $25m to $30m annually. In spring HOU offered choice: 1 year at $15m or 2/$24m. More recently, his camp said to be open to 1-year deal, for prorated annual $ at qualifying offer range. ($18m)

May 28, 2019 Keuchel previously turned down the one-year, $17.9 million qualifying offer the Astros gave him at the beginning of the offseason. Now, he may end up signing a deal for around the same amount for a few less months of playing time.
The Yankees are expected to be in the running for the southpaw, who would really help the rotation that is missing Luis Severino until at least after the All-Star break with a lat strain. The Yankees did just get back James Paxton and are getting CC Sabathia back this week. They recently scouted Keuchel during a simulated game in California.
Keuchel went 12-11 with a 3.74 ERA in 34 starts for the Astros last season. He went 14-5 with a 2.90 ERA in 23 starts in 2017.
