After sitting out the initial wave of free agent signings, the Giants have finally gotten on the board.
New York has agreed to a two-year deal with veteran safety Antoine Bethea, according to multiple reports.
Bethea had a solid year in 2018, racking up 121 total tackles, four passes defended, three sacks and a forced fumble in 16 games with the Arizona Cardinals.

The 34-year-old safety enjoyed one of his strongest seasons under defensive coordinator James Bettcher in 2017, a campaign in which he recorded a career-high five interceptions to go with one sack, one forced fumble and nine passes defended. Bethea finished as a top 10 safety that year, according to Pro Football Focus.

USA Today Sports Images The veteran has spent time at both strong safety and free safety throughout his career, picking up 9.5 sacks, 9 forced fumbles and 24 interceptions over his 13 seasons in the league.
The agreement was originally reported by former NFL wide receiver Reggie Wayne, who served as a teammate of Bethea's with the Colts.
