In search of some pass-rushing help, the Jets have signed former Chargers and 49ers outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu, his agent said.

— SportsTrust Advisors (@_SportsTrust) September 3, 2018Attaochu, 25, was a second-round pick by the Chargers in 2014 and has 10 career sacks. His best season came in 2015, when he started 12 games and had 55 tackles and six sacks -- both career highs.
Pass rush is one of the Jets' biggest areas of concern entering the season. They were 28th in the NFL in sacks last year and have since parted ways with Pro Bowler Muhammad Wilkerson. Leonard Williams, widely considered the Jets' most disruptive pass rusher, had just two sacks in 2017.

The 49ers signed the Nigerian-born defender to a one-year contract in March but released him this past weekend.
The Jets were among the teams in talks with the Oakland Raiders about All Pro defensive end Khalil Mack, but he was dealt to the Chicago Bears on Saturday for four draft picks, including two first-rounders.
PRACTICE SQUAD
The Jets announced Monday they signed quarterback John Wolford to their practice squad.
An undrafted rookie out of Wake Forest, Wolford completed 8 of 20 passes for 89 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the preseason.
He joins cornerback Jeremy Clark, safety Brandon Bryant and linebackers Anthony Wint and Frankie Luvu on the practice squad.
The Jets open the regular season on Sept. 10 at Detroit.
